Victor Vega-Mayoral
Dr Vega obtained his BSc in Physics (2012) and his MSc in Laser Physics and Technology (2013) from the University of Salamanca. Immediately afterwards, he joined Prof. Christoph Gadermaier’s group at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he focused on the study of the photoexcited states of 2D materials, primarily MoS₂ and WS₂. He then joined Prof. Coleman’s group at Trinity College Dublin, where his interest in 2D materials grew and expanded towards printed electronics.
He returned to Spain in 2019, first as a postdoctoral researcher and now as a principal investigator at IMDEA Nanoscience, where he investigates the optoelectronic properties of low-dimensional materials while trying to survive parenthood.
